OUR EXPERTISE IN POLLUTANT EMISSIONS MEASUREMENT
Since the 1990s, CRMT has developed solid expertise in measuring pollutant emissions for all types of vehicles (ISC, RDE) and non-road machinery (ISM). From our first tests conducted with automated systems, we have continuously refined our measurement methods using innovative technologies.
We collaborate with leading operators, vehicle manufacturers, and research organizations, conducting measurement campaigns not only in France but across Europe as well.
OUR REGULATORY TESTING AND R&D TESTING SERVICES
We support our clients by offering various types of testing tailored to their specific objectives :
- Certification Projects: ISC, ISM, RDE, etc.
- Comparison: Comparative evaluation between different vehicles, powertrains, and fuels.
- Real-World Operational Analysis: Measurement of fuel consumption and regulated and/or non-regulated pollutant emissions during real-world operations.
We perform measurements on a variety of vehicle types and fuels:
- Vehicles: On-road and off-road, including heavy-duty vehicles, light-duty vehicles, agricultural machinery, trains, boats, generators, construction equipment, etc.
- Fuels: B7, GNR, E85, B100, HVO, GTL, CNG, LNG, LPG, H2, etc.
To ensure precise and reliable measurements, we use specialized equipment such as the PEMS (Portable Emission Measurement System) along with other technologies designed for emission capture.

Equilibre project: 19 vehicles tested and 1.5 million km driven !
As part of the Équilibre project, CRMT assessed the environmental performance of CNG vehicles compared with diesel vehicles.
SCANIA: Clean engines and new era
CRMT carried out comparative tests for Scania France to assess the emissions of Euro VI coaches running on diesel, CNG and ethanol under real operating conditions.

CRMT carries out measurements of pollutant emissions on diesel and HVO coaches for comparative purposes.
European EASVOLEE project
As part of the EASVOLEE project, CRMT is playing a key role in measuring emissions of regulated and non-regulated pollutants from different types of vehicle under real operating conditions, in order to gather valuable data for improving air quality in Europe.
CORTEA : measuring pollutant emissions on light vehicles
CRMT has carried out R&D tests on various vehicles in the RDE cycle to measure various non-regulated pollutants that have an impact on air quality, such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and sulfur compounds.
CAEFE project: a study of non-exhaust emissions, brake particles
CRMT, in collaboration with ADEME, Gustave Eiffel University and Telma, is carrying out a comprehensive study of pollutant emissions from a coach's brakes and exhaust under real-life conditions, designing and testing innovative particle capture devices to reduce pollution and improve air quality.
